With its worldwide release set for September 26, 2025, EA Sports has unveiled the complete Icon roster for EA Sports FC 26, giving fans a closer look at football legends joining the game this year. A brand-new trailer showcased the Icons, accompanied by fan reactions and the promise of expanded features across Ultimate Team and Clubs.
Thirteen Icons will be available at launch, including Zlatan Ibrahimović, Alex Morgan, Andrés Iniesta, Toni Kroos, Caroline Seger, Giorgio Chiellini, Sissi, Francesco Totti, Marcelo, Steffi Jones, Oliver Kahn, Cha Bum-Kun, and more. These players are not just for nostalgia—they also influence new Archetypes in Clubs, each reflecting a distinct style of play:
- Target – Inspired by Zlatan Ibrahimović
- Finisher – Based on Alex Morgan
- Maestro – Modeled after Toni Kroos
- Creator – Inspired by Andrés Iniesta
- Shot Stopper – Based on Oliver Kahn
These Archetypes will offer unique characteristics and expanded customization, giving Clubs players more control over their Pro’s development and playstyle.
Fans who pre-order the Ultimate Edition by August 26, 2025 will receive one Debut Icon (untradeable) from a pool of 15, including the new Icons and fan favorites like Ronaldo Nazário (R9), Thierry Henry, and Steven Gerrard. These Debut Icons will be available from Early Access launch on September 19, and will automatically upgrade to Champion Icons in November.
Debut Icons highlight an early career moment when the player showed signs of becoming a generational talent, while Champion Icons commemorate a defining achievement—such as winning major silverware—that cemented their legendary status.
Speaking about their inclusion, Alex Morgan expressed her excitement:

EA Sports FC 26 will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and the new Nintendo Switch 2. Early access begins on September 19, 2025 for Ultimate Edition owners and EA Play subscribers. EA Play members will also receive seasonal rewards, Ultimate Team Draft Tokens, and a 10% discount on EA digital content.
